- Download the Git for Windows installer.
- Start the installer, accept the licenses (Next).
- Default set of components is fine, so choose Next again.
- Stay with the default option Use Git from the Windows Command Prompt, choose Next.
- Stay with the default option Checkout Windows-style, commit Unix-style line endings (core.autocrlf=true), choose Next.
- Stay with the default option Use MinTTY (the default terminal of MSYS2), choose Next.
- Keep the default options Enable file system caching and Enable Git Credential Manager selected, choose Install.
