Frames are different from Windows/Dialogs in such a way that they cannot “stand on their own”.
They are Panel-Objects and they are always contained in a Parent-screen.
They are used to group multiple Objects together, so they can be used as one Object inside other Screens.
An example would be a Window containing a Tree, where, depending on the type of node selected in the Tree, a different Frame is used to display the Details:
