- Open Eclipse (Progress Developer Studio). Close the Welcome view if necessary.
- Select the Help → Install new software... menu entry.
- Choose Add... to add a new update site.
- Enter EGit 4.5 as name and http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates-4.5 as location; choose OK.
- Select EGit 4.5 from the Work with list.
- Select the Eclipse Git Team Provider and JGit groups. Select Eclipse Git Team Provider - Gitflow support inside the Eclipse Git Team Provider - experimental features (incubation)group.
- Make sure Contact all update sites during install to find required software is selected.
- Choose Next.
- It's OK if any of the following cannot be installed (select Next):
- Command Line Interface for Java implementation of Git
- Java implementation of Git - optional Http support using Apache httpclient
- Java implementation of Git - optional LFS support
- Accept the final list of components to be installed by choosing Next.
- Accept all licenses.
- Choose Finish to start the installation.
- Wait for the installation to complete. Progress is visible in the status bar. If prompted for a restart, confirm the restart by choosing Yes.
