Go to start of metadata
  1. Download the Git for Windows installer.
  2. Start the installer, accept the licenses (Next).
  3. Default set of components is fine, so choose Next again.
  4. Stay with the default option Use Git from the Windows Command Prompt, choose Next.
  5. Stay with the default option Checkout Windows-style, commit Unix-style line endings (core.autocrlf=true), choose Next.
  6. Stay with the default option Use MinTTY (the default terminal of MSYS2), choose Next.
  7. Keep the default options Enable file system caching and Enable Git Credential Manager selected, choose Install.
